"On the Surface on The Ramp!"

St. Louis Artists’ Guild presents “On the Surface on The Ramp!” on view September 20-October 23, 2019.
This exhibit presents artworks that demonstrate some surface design process, i.e. dyeing, stamping, stenciling, embroidery, beading, or other embellishment techniques. Featuring works by St. Louis Artists’ Guild members.
Juror: St. Louis-based textile artist & educator Luanne Rimel. Rimel's work has been included in "Quilt National" and exhibited in the "Smithsonian Craft Show," Washington, D.C. Her works are published in Art Quilts of the Midwest (University of Iowa Press). Luanne holds an MFA in Fibers from SIU Edwardsville. She served as Director of Education at Craft Alliance + Design, St. Louis, MO for 16 years and is currently a full-time studio artist. Rimel's work is represented locally by Duane Reed Gallery.
Free gallery talk with Juror Luanne Rimel, Wednesday, October 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Free reception Thursday, October 3, 5-8 p.m.
This exhibit is free & open to the public T-F 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
