Yeyo Arts Collective presents “Rooted: A Community Response to Nature and Urban Landscape.” September 7-November 7, 2019. "Rooted" connects the work of local artists and activists with neighbors of St. Louis' Greater Ville area. The historically black neighborhood has been the home of many great figures. In this body of work we honor the lives of past great figures and the current residents of the North Saint Louis area. Youth, elders and community members come together for an interwoven outdoor installation led by artists Dail Chambers and Elizabeth Vega, with ArthouseSTL (3911 Greer Avenue) and the Greer Collective. The outdoor installation will flow throughout the 3900 block of Greer Avenue.
Free reception October 3, 5-8 p.m.
