Fontbonne University Gallery of Art presents “re:SURFACED,” a juried exhibition of work by artists from the Weavers’ Guild of St. Louis as well as invited guest artists. Exhibit is presented October 2-November 1, 2019.
Featured artists include Valerie, Doran Bashaw, Judy Cobillas, Carlene Fullerton, Jane Olson Glidden, Laurie Harper, Marilyn Emerson Holtzer, Karen Butler Holzhausen, Sharon Kilfoyle, Pat Owoc, Mandy Pedigo, Joyce Pion, Mary Quinn, Alice Ripley, Mary Ruppert-Stroescu, Brenda Schilling, Lorri Scott, Leandra Spangler, Jo Stealey, Becky Stevens, JoAnn Treumann, June Vaughan, Sally Vikman, Jennifer Wax
Serving as Juror for this exhibit was Leandra Spangler, artist, art educator & workshop instructor based in Columbia, MO. This exhibit’s focus is surface design, surface treatments and surface alterations. Work will celebrate the physical textures of fibers, their connections, weave structures, interlacing, felting, and embellishments, as well as the visual textures of dye applications & eco-printing inherent within our fiber techniques.

Free gallery talk Saturday, October 5, 10:30-11 a.m. This gallery talk is presented in conjunction with the IT19 Bus Tour and is free & open to all.
This exhibit is free & open to the public M-Th. 9 a.m.-4 p.m., F 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Sat. 12-4 p.m. & Extended gallery hours October 2-6, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
